Questions from the workbench

Frequently asked questions

Do I need woodworking experience?

No. Introductory courses begin with room preparation, part identification, and reading instructions before discussing tools or assembly order.

Do the courses replace a crib manual?

No. The manufacturer’s manual always takes priority. Our lessons teach process habits that help learners approach that manual carefully.

What tools are usually discussed?

Depending on the lesson, examples include a measuring tape, hex key, screwdriver, soft mallet, level, and a handplane for unrelated bench practice. Use only tools approved for your product.

Can I save a course for later?

Yes. Select Save to fallows in the catalog. The browser stores the course ID locally, and the Fallows page can remove it whenever you wish.

How does the cart work?

The cart stores course IDs and quantities in localStorage. It is a demonstration checkout flow and does not process payment without a connected backend.

Are lessons suitable for group learning?

Yes. The checklists and discussion prompts work well for partners, family workshops, and small community classes.

Can you inspect my assembled crib?

We cannot inspect physical work remotely. For uncertainty about a specific product, contact its manufacturer or a qualified local professional.

How can I ask about accessibility?

Contact us before enrollment and describe the format or access support you need. We will explain available options honestly.

What does moonlit cedar have to do with the courses?

It is our playful journal phrase for patient, tactile craft—not a claim that any particular wood belongs in a crib.
